Mirko Micucci
Mirko is an accomplished technical lead specialising in medical device product development across a number of therapies. He graduated from University of Galway in Physics with Biomedical Physics before completing a Masters in Biomedical Science and an MBA. Mirko’s experience extends to all aspects of the Lifecycle of the Medical Device from design control and product development from early stage to commercialisation, risk management and process development.
He has worked across various cross-functional teams supporting product development and product submissions through the FDA and obtaining CE Marking. Mirko has worked through his career with Medtronic, Boston Scientific, Becton Dickinson, and more recently EnteraSense Ltd. In a recent move to EnteraSense, a Start-Up, Mirko focused on commercialisation and compliance in addition to stepping into a leadership role to help develop the direction of the organisation which included working on being part of the team to obtain a distribution agreement with a major medical device company. Mirko is looking forward to the new experiences and challenges that the BioInnovate programme brings in addition to the possibility of developing life changing solutions for patients in need which aim to provide a positive impact to healthcare. Mirko is excited to have the opportunity to learn and develop with a highly talented and skilled network to directly address unmet clinical needs. Outside of work, Mirko’s free time is spent playing some variation of rugby, full contact or tag rugby.
