Jibraan Esoof
Dr. Jibraan Esoof is a medical doctor and inventor working at the intersection of digital health and neurorehabilitation. Early in his career, he identified a needs-led opportunity in stroke care and went on to found STROHAB and completed the New Frontiers Programme with Enterprise Ireland. He then led the clinical, commercial, and regulatory development of STROHAB at University College Dublin, supported by Science Foundation Ireland (now Research Ireland) through the National Challenge Fund.
Through this challenge-based approach, his work centred around AI-driven digital therapeutics to improve the stroke rehabilitation pathway. With a background in internal and rehabilitation medicine, Jibraan combines frontline clinical experience and transdisciplinary research, with hands-on expertise in translational research and emerging technologies. He has previously developed a medical device software with STROHAB- an eXtended Reality (XR) telerehabilitation platform, and co-designed tools in collaboration with patients and clinicians. His entrepreneurial interests include digital biomarkers, wearable devices, and intelligent diagnostics for neurological conditions. Jibraan represents the new generation of clinician-innovators housed at BioInnovate, committed to using innovative technologies to expand access, enhance care, and transform patient outcomes in Ireland and beyond.
