Christina O’Dwyer-Heigh
Christina is a dynamic and accomplished professional with over 15 years of experience spanning strategy, operations, systems thinking, and innovation across global healthcare, humanitarian, and public sector domains. Her multidisciplinary background—rooted in law, management and operations—positions her uniquely to lead transformative ventures in the MedTech space.
Christina began her career as an EMEA S&OP Analyst at Johnson & Johnson, where she evaluated health investment and inventory strategies across 18 countries. She then advanced to EMC, managing global contract manufacturers and suppliers, before transitioning into humanitarian logistics with the International Committee of the Red Cross, where she led forecasting and material management ERP implementation efforts.
Her strategic sourcing role at Stryker focused on additive manufacturing and supplier negotiations, deepening her expertise in advanced medical technologies. Christina later founded Everywhere Medical, a startup addressing unmet needs in ostomy care. She successfully built and led a multidisciplinary team, conducted extensive international patient and clinician research, and authored winning proposals that secured local, national, and EU Horizon 2020 funding.
In parallel, Christina consulted for Avenir Analytics, advising UN and NGO operations across Geneva, the Middle East, and Africa. Her recent work with Tusla, Ireland’s Child & Family Agency, involved delivering strategic programmes in international protection, workforce engagement, and organisational reform—further enriching her understanding of public sector service delivery, policy design and implementation.
Christina also holds advanced qualifications in climate adaptation and sustainability, and she brings a systems-level perspective to innovation that integrates people, profit, and planet. As a BioInnovate Fellow, she is committed to developing impactful, scalable solutions that address real clinical needs while aligning with sustainable development goals.
