Olivia Wynne is an engineering leader with two decades of experience in the automotive industry, including over a decade in leadership roles, specialising in software and systems development within regulated, safety-critical environments. She spent her career working on advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), most recently in a senior leadership role where she led cross-functional teams across global programmes delivering complex, integrated vehicle features spanning software, systems, and safety domains. Throughout her career, Olivia has operated at the intersection of technical delivery and organisational leadership, working across global teams to align competing priorities and drive system-level outcomes.

She has extensive experience working in regulated environments, contributing to product development, system optimisation, and technical roadmaps, as well as supporting decision-making under uncertainty. Her roles have required her to influence with and without formal authority, negotiate across organisational boundaries, and establish governance structures to support effective delivery. Alongside her engineering career, Olivia is completing an MBA, where she has focused on leadership, strategy, and organisational dynamics. As part of this, she has worked on projects across both non-profit and commercial contexts, contributing to organisational development and broader strategic discussions. She has also supported small business strategy development, gaining exposure to early-stage and growth-focused environments. Olivia is now transitioning towards healthcare innovation, motivated by a desire to apply her experience to problems with a more direct and meaningful impact on people’s lives. She is particularly interested in needs-led innovation and in understanding how complex, real-world problems can be translated into viable and impactful solutions. In parallel, Olivia is an award-winning composer and is actively involved in music education and community-based initiatives. She values collaborative environments and is looking forward to learning from, and contributing to, the diverse perspectives within the BioInnovate programme.
