We review and shortlist applications throughout the application window. Due to the competitive nature of the programme, we recommend submitting your application as soon as possible.
Tailor Your Application
Make sure your application highlights your passion for health technology innovation, as well as any relevant experience in your career to date. Clearly communicate why BioInnovate is the right fit for your career goals.
Be Clear and Concise
When completing the application, ensure all sections are filled out clearly and concisely. Highlight your achievements, skills, and experiences that demonstrate your ability/potential to innovate and contribute to the healthcare technology field.
Showcase Your Collaboration Skills
BioInnovate is highly collaborative, so use your application to showcase examples where you’ve worked effectively in teams, especially in cross-disciplinary environments.
Optional Project (highly recommended)
It is highly recommended to complete the optional project within your application. The project gives you an opportunity to demonstrates your ability to be inventive, creative and/or scientifically innovative. Mechanical, audio/visual or electronic media, photographs and artwork will be accepted for consideration.
Leverage Your Network
Seek feedback from mentors or colleagues before submitting your application. They can provide valuable insights and help you refine your responses.

Prepare for the Recruitment Day
If shortlisted, you will be invited to the BioInnovate in-person recruitment day at the University of Galway. It it’s important to approach the day with an open mind, adaptability, and a willingness to engage fully. We are interested in your ability to collaborate, innovate,
