2. Review Our Helpful Tips


Before you apply, take a moment to read our helpful Tips page. It includes practical guidance on crafting a compelling application, highlighting your experience, and ensuring your submission stands out.

3. Submit your Online Application

Complete and submit your application through our online application portal, available at the link below. As part of the application, candidates are asked to provide a brief breakdown of their education and work experience, as well as a personal statement, (500-word limit) discussing their rational and motivation for applying to the BioInnovate programme.

Candidates are also asked to provide:  

  • A copy of their CV/Resume.
  • A project file (optional): an example of a design, prototype, portfolio or another suitable project piece that clearly demonstrates your ability to be inventive, creative and/or scientifically innovative. Mechanical, audio/visual or electronic media, photographs and artwork will be accepted for consideration. 
  • A passport sized photo 

4. Initial screening

Your application will first be reviewed by our selection team. You will be informed within 10 working days if you have progressed to the next stage.  

5. Shortlisting and Invitations to Recruitment Day

Following the initial screening, the programme management team will carefully review all applications. Successful candidates will be selected and invited to attend our in-person Recruitment Day at the University of Galway. The Recruitment Day is a unique opportunity for in-depth interactions and is your chance to showcase your skills, experience, and passion for innovation. Recruitment day 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, February 28th 2026. 

6. Extension of Offer to the BioInnovate Programme 2026/2027

Following the interview, successful candidates will be informed by email if they have been selected join the BioInnovate programme.
