Having graduated from University College Dublin with an honours degree in Commerce, Alice completed a Masters degree in ECommerce in Bentley University in Boston. Over the following 10 years she has worked in a number of positions in the financial services sector including fund management, product development, compliance and investment for both the retail and private banking market. Always passionate about great, innovative, functional design, Alice has trained as a tailor, milliner and a goldsmith and is registered with the Craft Council of Ireland and the Irish Assay office. A stint volunteering in an African hospital inspired a change of career and after some time working with a medical charity, Alice decided to study medicine. Since gaining a medical degree she has worked in Nephrology, Plastic Surgery and Emergency Medicine. Alice is excited to be taking part in the BioInnovate fellowship. Through the process she hopes to use existing skills of commercial business practice and combine them with her knowledge of medicine. Through this structured creative process she wants to deliver better healthcare and improve the patient experiences and outcomes.
