John Early has considerable experience in the medical device industry and has held a number of management and director positions. He has worked for both indigenous and multinational medtech companies over the past twenty years. John started his medtech career with United States Surgical Corporation and was instrumental in establishing the company’s surgical stapling and minimally invasive technology in Ireland, Iceland, South Africa and UK. Following the acquisition of USSC by Covidien John oversaw the commercialisation and management of Covidien’s portfolio in the Irish Market. He then headed up the internationalization of Covidien’s neurosurgical and spinal business with responsibility for all markets outside of the United States.John was managing director for Oceana Therapeutics Inc., a start up company specialising in licensing, sales, marketing and channel management of niche technologies in the gastrointestinal and pediatric spaces. More recently John was VP sales and marketing for Trulife, an Irish manufacturing and marketing company operating internationally.John has a degree in Applied Sciences from DIT and a number of postgraduate qualifications including diplomas in Strategic management and International marketing from the Irish Management Institute
